Yarn of the October

Yarn of the October

We launched this fall this The Yarn of Month campaign, which helps us to showcase our yarns one at a time and give you some idea what to make from it. Now in this month we wanted to show you our versatile yarn from Lang, named Touring. It is DK or worsted weight yarn with soft wool and nylon. You can very easily knit your thick socks from it or use it for other accessories like beanies or mittens. I knitted this sock to test the yarn, and it is really nice to knit and sock was finished quickly knitting with 4 mm needles. Pattern I used is Basic Socken by Susanne Müller.

Another sample I made was this fun little tee. It is a free pattern honoring Bernie Sanders and designed by Caitlin Hunter. Touring worked wonderfully also in stranded knitting. And although the yarn has some nylon, it doesn't feel at all plastic, but very wearable and soft. Other garment patterns suitable for Touring could be this vest by Sedna Knitting or this simple sweater by Joji Locatelli.

Last winter I used this yarn also for mittens. The pattern I used was this beautiful Martinique Mittens by Fiona Alice.  This free pattern by Tincanknits could be fun too.

I hope you have fun with knitting with this yarn! You can buy it now with 10% discount to the end of October.
